On July 11, Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Teryan met with representatives from pharmaceutical companies. The discussion focused on the Five-Year Program for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, state economic policy, and measures of support for pharm companies. Pharmaceutical company representatives expressed their appreciation for the government’s support of the private sector and highlighted that Armenia is the only country in the South Caucasus offering a full cycle of pharmaceutical production. Topics included compliance with international production standards, quality infrastructure, and certification processes. The meeting also explored strategies to diversify the export of local pharmaceutical products and increase export volumes. Participants emphasized the importance of active involvement in international exhibitions and underlined the role of government co-financing in boosting the recognition of Armenian pharmaceutical products in foreign markets. The parties agreed to hold regular meetings in this format.
